Next Climb: Denali – 20,320 feet – May 2013

Mt. Everest

Mount Everest (Chomolungma), the "Mother Goddess of the World", is the highest mountain in the world. At 29,029 feet, the summit pierces the jet stream.

Cho Oyu

Cho Oyu is the 6th highest mountain in the world at 26,906 feet. The "Turquoise Goddess", Cho Oyu sits only 40 miles from Everest. Often climbed as an Everest preparation mountain, this will be Kyle's first 8,000 meter peak as well as his first Himalayan experience.

Denali

Denali (also called Mt. McKinley) is the top of North America. At 20,320 feet, it is the 3rd highest of the seven summits.

Kilimanjaro

The second climb in the Endeavor was Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. At 19,241 feet over the Serengeti, Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and stands as an icon of the country. Kyle summited it in July of 2012.

Mt. Adams

At 12,276 feet, Mt. Adams was a great training climb that was not technical at all. It stands as the second highest mountain in Washington state and is an active volcano. Kyle summited it with his father in August of 2012.

Mt. Rainier

The first major climb in the Everest Endeavor was in May of 2012 at Mt. Rainier via the Ingraham Glacier/Disappointment Cleaver route. Rainier is well known for having a little bit of everything, including glaciers, snow fields, and crevasses.

What is the Endeavor?

A journey to the top of the world for hope.

The Everest Endeavor has three goals.

Draw Interest

Through interactive and up to date blogs, live streams and more, the Endeavor will create a  magnetic and exciting adventure that people will want  follow. By partnering with companies and individuals that are doing good in the world the Everest Endeavor will be able to use big mountain climbing to shine light on those that need to be seen.

Create ideas

Connecting the dots between doing and giving the Endeavor helps to create new ways to look at the world. Through the journey to Everest the Endeavor will help inspire others to reach out a helping hand and think of new ways to make the world a better place.

Start Change

Ultimately the Endeavor inspires to show people that can be the spark of change that the world needs. They can be the drop of water that begins a river. No matter how big a challenge, or mountain may seem, with work and dedication anyone can make it to the top. It all starts somewhere.

Who is Kyle

Who
is
Kyle?

Kyle Bingham
Inspired by great climbers before him, Kyle has always had his eyes on the great mountains of the world. Growing up in the Cascades mountains of Washington State, Kyle’s father introduced him to the outdoors and the mountains from an early age. As life went on, Kyle always had aspirations to do more for others. With a humble and encouraging outlook on life, Kyle pursued firefighting, obtaining a degree in Fire Science. In the summer of 2010, Kyle and his father put together his two passions, giving and the outdoors, and began The Everest Endeavor.
Since 2010, Kyle and the Endeavor team have made great progress on their plan to climb Mt. Everest. Partnering with great causes like Falling Whistles and CancerClimber, Kyle has been on Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, and most recently, Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2012. Looking forward to 2013, Kyle will be climbing Mt. Rainier again this winter and heading to Denali in May.
Why

Why
climb
Everest?

“Because I should.”

Kyle believes that we were put here on Earth for more. Whatever you personal beliefs are, life is rare. It’s fragile and it’s over far too quickly. We want to enjoy it as much as we can. From cancer awareness to clean water, Kyle strives to help spread the word of need and shine light on those that need to be seen. Using big mountain climbing, Kyle can connect the dots between climbing some of the biggest mountains in the world and those who are climbing mountain-sized challenges in their own lives. He is dedicated to showing others that no matter how big or how impossible something might seem, you can conquer it.
